Spine Surgery

Often patients still experience back pain or neck pain after already having had spinal surgery. In fact, sometimes their pain is worse after spine surgery! Many times the pain returns several years after cervical spine surgery or lumbar spine surgery because the spinal surgery permanently alters the way their spine functions, putting increased stress and strain on the once healthy areas of the spine adjacent to the spine surgery site. Usually, the last thing the patient wants is another spinal surgery after their pain returns from the previous spine surgery!

Fortunately, modern chiropractic care often offers a solution for the complex nature of pain after previous spinal surgery. In our office, we use special advanced chiropractic techniques that allow us to care for patients that have had previous spine surgery in a safe and virtually painless fashion. These techniques allow us to care for the spine in a neutral position, without twisting or bending movements, thereby increasing patient comfort and relaxation.

While we are the first to admit that not all patients in the greater Sacramento and Rancho Cordova areas with pain after spinal surgery can be helped, we are proud of the many, many spinal surgery patients that we have helped to lead happier, healthier and more productive lives with chiropractic care.
